Reconstruction
On July 12th, reconstruction started on our courageous seawall. First built in 1982 our seawall has labored to keep back the eroding surf. After 28 years the wall came to a perilous condition. Relentless erosion ate away at the shore in front of, beside and under the big wall. After several years of petitioning, we finally rec’d a welcome helping hand from Government and reconstruction is going on RIGHT NOW ! – Linda

How far away is the seawall from the lighhouse?
Hi Mike, Sorry for the delay. The lighthouse is about 50 feet from the edge of the seawall. I’ll send a photo from the top of the lighthouse which will give you a better view.
