Point Prim Lighthouse Speaks To the World

Point Prim Lighthouse is hosting a strawberry social on August 18th to celebrate International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend.  Local amateur radio enthusiast, George Dewar, will be on air for 48 hours attempting to make as many contacts as possible with over 500 lighthouses in over 40 countries around the world.

The ILLW was established in 1998 and over the years it has evolved into one of the most popular international amateur radio events in existence. It’s just HAM’s at lighthouses trying to make as many contacts as possible.
